I remember when the explosions went off in the London underground and a bus, causing lots of people to lose their lives, but also bringing out the bravest of people.

I was in the car; taking Mimi (my sister) to a friends house. My brother phoned us and told us that there had been a series of explosions in London . I remember turning on the radio and we heard that the bombings were on a tube and that a bus was also involved.

At that point we knew it was serious, and as the death toll rose, I realised that I knew people that might have been commuting.

It turned out that my uncle had had the day off work and had not been commuting ( he normally took that train.)
