When did the event happen? November 2000 

How old were you? 10 years old

What exactly happened? Ever since I was 7 I’d always say all I want is my ears pieced, So when I finally persuaded my mum, and went to have ears pieced. I was so scared when got to the jewellers. She just got a pen drew to marks then got the gun and in five minutes I’d had my ears pierced. It hurts a lot!            

Can you describe the details of the scene? Well I felt sick, the jewellers had gold round the edge of everything and I could hear people talking.

Why do you think this stays in your mind? It was me getting my ears pieced for the first time but it’s not great. I thought getting my ears pieced would be so cool but it’s basically a pin through your ear.        

How have you changed since then? Yes I’ve realised not all things are what there cracked up to be!
