When did the event happen? October 21st 1998

How old were you? Just turned 8

What exactly happened? Well it was my birthday party and I had it in this wicked hotel, it was a swimming and disco birthday. Everything was going ok, we had swum, dance but when we were eating I remember the restaurant was over the pool so a few people started chucking food in to the pool. (Not a lot!) Then after we were dancing again, on the dance floor and decided to go without shoes. Well I fell over and hit my head on the stage.

Can you describe the details of the scene? Well the pool was lit up with lots of little under water lights. The disco was on 2 different floors and it smelled of the Smoke machine and there were lots of flashing lights.

Why do you think this stays in your mind? Because it was my last birthday in England and I hurt my self.

How have you changed since then? I now try to keep my shoes on when dancing.
