Hey! All you computer boffins out there...now that you've been clever enough to hover over this picture for long enough, here's a challenge. If you can spot any mistakes between the French and English sites (which are supposed to be identical in layout) then send an email to thompson_h05@intst.net and I'll see what I can do! (No comments about the language please, unless you want to give me a CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Get looking!

Hello and welcome to our website about The French Revolution. This subject is studied throughout the world as a turning point in modern history. We have split the story up in to sections, to make what happened more easily understandable. You can easily access these sections  by clicking on the buttons to the right of your screen.  As well as this, there is of course a link to this page which takes you back here at any part of your visit. If ever you want to see the page you may be looking at in French, you can click on a button like this:    which will, if the option is there, be situated somewhere on the page. Click on  to return.

On the other hand, if you would like to see the whole site in French, at any part of your visit, click on :  (at the top of your screen) which will take you to the home page of the totally French site. This website covers the revolution from the end of the Ancien Regime to the end of the reign of Terror, and it includes the consequences and the legacy that the Revolution has left, a summary of the revolution, and, of course, the most important historical events.

Please be sure to look at the Bibliography.

Thank you!
