The Gregs were successful owners of a successful company! They were so successful because the family was used to finding new ways of making money. They were so successful because the Gregs were a serious, hardworking, family. They were around from the late eighteenth century to the mid nineteenth century. The Gregs were a very intelligent family. They were very clever in many ways, and this website helps tell you why. They did the right things at the right time. They found the perfect position to put their quarry. In those days there were no lights, so the mill had to be put in a place where the light shined through the window so that the workers can see what they're doing. The mill had to be put near a fast flowing stream. It had to be perfect, and that's where the Gregs knew exactly what they were doing. Once they had put it in the right position, they used technology  to build the right buildings using the right materials. Then they employed workers. From then, the business was very successful, as it was kept in good hands by the Gregs!
