A large reason why the Gregs were earning so much money in the business was because Britain began to spend more money in the eighteen century. Another reason is that Samuel Greg was lucky, as he inherited the family business from his uncle. He was a very intelligent lad, this was the reason why he kept the business going. The family was used to finding new ways of money. They had a good start. The business was selling goods all around England and even abroad. Quarry Bank Mill now started to become very popular. This is where they started to get the money. Now they had the money to raise the workers salary to get them working harder, and to by new inventions and more iron and coal, and then extend the mill. Once they had done this, they were producing what everybody wanted worldwide. This therefore extended their business even further. Making people from all over starting to buy their goods. Quarry Bank Mill was now more successful than ever due to the money that was earned, which was earned by the Gregs using their intelligent heads!
