The
History
Situated
in the South West of Dorset, The West Country, England, UK, Lyme
Regis is an historic unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the
world famous Cobb harbour. Surrounded by beautiful coastlines and
countryside, the area has now been awarded World Heritage Site Status;
famous for its geology and fossil finds. There
is a famous author there called John Fowles and he lives in Lyme Regis.
Also Joseph Lister who invented the antiseptic invented it in Lyme
Regis.
My Local Area
In Lyme
Regis since it is near the sea you can go to the beach, play in the
arcade or go deep-sea mackerel fishing. I have already been and I caught
20 mackerel then my family ate them this is a fun event do do with
friends or family.
Things To Do
Wind surfing and body boarding is another favourite pastime.
Numerous coastal paths and country trails for he walker. There is fossil
hunting of course.

In Lyme Regis we have a western
accent.

Most people in Lyme Regis are
