1922

In 1922, Germany suffered greatly economically. A lot of things were lost almost as lost as when The Treaty of Versailles was signed...

The Treaty of Versailles:

Germany had made its first payment to the winning allies of the war the year before in 1921. The Germans suffer terribly and inform the winning allies that they can't afford payment for 3 years. A set back.

Political differences:

In terms of a series of small disasters Germany didn't experience a lot of them. It experienced big things not much happened in the way of politics in 1922. The money issue of inflation included politics as the government were churning out more money. Instead of making Germans and the country richer it was like digging their own grave deeper and deeper.

Economic disasters:

Inflation is rising and food and other pleasures continue to rise in price. It looks as if it won't get any worse and that eventually things will sort themselves out or Germany will get some benefit for not having to pay reparations. But the danger is increasing as bread in Berlin now costs 163.50 German marks. Shockingly in a space of one year the price of bread went up by 159.60 German marks. How much worse could it get?
