| January: Spartacists
recently renamed to Communists tried to overthrow Ebert and the leading
classes (upper and middle) and then give the power to working class.
Had to be stopped by a 4000 men
volunteer force of killers made by Ebert known as the Freikorps. They
killed the leaders of the communists.
Due to the violence, after the
elections the government had to meet at Weimar. As smaller place south of
Berlin. |
