Quarry Bank Mill was so Successful because of
Geography.
I reason Quarry Bank Mill was so successful was because of geography,
meaning were the mill was built. It was very important that it was built
next to a fast flowing river, so as to get waterpower. There had to
also be a lot of flat land around so as to expand the factory and make
more rooms and warehouses. It also had to be close to a town, because
if it was miles away from a town or city then the people, workers, would
not be able to get to work. And would find other jobs, closer to were
they live. It also had to be close enough to a source of cotton, because
there was no use in paying lots of money to have cotton transported
miles and miles if the mill could be built closer to source.
