1918

The German Army moves the responsibility of the war onto the civilian Government who thus sign an Armistice with the Allies. The Kaiser shares his power but the German people don't feel this is enough. The Army rebelled and the Kaiser fled. The Social Democratic Party took control and set up elections.

1919

The Versailles Treaty came as a shock to the German people and the Allies began to implement the treaty. The Spartacists tried to revolt but the Free Corps took them down.

1920

Most German people settled down with the new Government fairly quickly but extremists did not. The Free Corps and the Army had to disperse and kill most of the communists that rose against the government. 

1923

The French invaded the Ruhr region and because of the weak German army the people had a passive resistant front against the army.
