American Influence

After the First World War Germany had a new constitution a new government and was given a chance to reinvent itself. The culture of Germany was significantly changed by all this upheaval especially after it started to rebuild in the period 1924-29, here thanks to American loans it overtook Paris as cultural capitol of Europe. It started to listen to music like Jazz and anti-war films such as 'all quiet on the western front' were produced. New buildings always taller and more impressive were made with new materials and shocking designs. All in all the Weimar period saw a huge upheaval in traditional values.
