Born in Cardiff. Married to Florence and father of Oliver, born 9 August 2002 and Inessa born 29 September 2005. We live with two cats, Molly and Jim. 

Virgo. Supporter of Cardiff RFC but trying to become 'Colomiersized'. Lead singer and guitarist with Loose Covers

Education and Teaching Experience

Attended Whitchurch High School in Cardiff from 1980 to 1987. Studied History and Politics at the University of Wales, College of Swansea graduating with a First Class degree in 1990. Took Masters degree in Political Philosophy at University of York in 1991 graduating with a Distinction and a thesis entitled 'Marxism and Ecology'. 

In 1992-3 returned to Swansea University to train as a teacher of History and Geography. From 1993 taught History and Politics at Olchfa School in Swansea. Moved to Toulouse in 1999 to establish the Humanities Department at the IST. Since 2001 a member of the European Schoolnet, Virtual School History Department. Since 2004 coordinator of Comenius funded project e-Help

 

In September 2007 began work as a teacher of history and film at the British International School Bratislava in Slovakia. www.bis.sk/ Some of my recent video work at the school can be seen by clicking on the images to the right.

I hope that my new websites www.internationalschoolhistory.net and www.ibfilm.co.uk will be launched before too long and will prove to be as much fun as this one was to make. 

I no longer look as young as I did in the photo above.
