The Versailles Project

The Versailles Project 2002

This year's Versailles Treaty project begins on Monday 4th November and will be completed by Friday 15th November. The students will be divided into six teams representing six countries at the conference. This year there will also be a media team covering the event and taking responsibility for live web reporting of the conference motions and the production of the digital audio-visual record of the day. (see the audio visual record of 2000 and 2001)
After they have registered at the Pioneer website, the national teams will begin by researching (these useful links will help) and writing their national objectives and then uploading them to this site by Friday 8th November. This year, the conference debate will take place during the whole morning of  Wednesday 13th November. As well as preparing their historical arguments, students will also need to familiarise themselves with the rules of debate. They will be writing up their completed treaty for publication on Friday 15th November.
The best treaty will be selected for publication as the IST Versailles Treaty for 2002. (see the Treaties from 2000 and 2001)
