The Versailles Project

The Versailles Project 2003

web counter
This year's Versailles Treaty project begins on Monday 3rd November and will be completed by Friday 15th November. The students will be divided into six teams representing six countries at the conference. This year there will also be a media team covering the event and taking responsibility for live web reporting of the conference motions and the production of the digital audio-visual record of the day. (see the audio visual record of 2000, 2001 and 2002)
After they have been registered at the SchoolHistory student forum, the national teams will begin by researching (these useful links will help) and writing their national objectives and then uploading them to this site by Friday 7th November. This year, the conference debate will take place during the whole morning of  Wednesday 12th November. As well as preparing their historical arguments, students will also need to familiarise themselves with the rules of debate. They will be writing up their completed treaty for publication on Friday 14th November.

The best treaty will be selected for publication as the IST Versailles Treaty for 2003. (see the Treaties from 2000, 2001 and 2002)
